Intellectual Property & Sharing Policy

Our course material takes a great deal of work to produce. This policy explains what you may do with it, what you may not, and what happens if it is copied, shared or resold.

01

Who owns the material

All content on this website and on our learning platform belongs to Cole Aesthetics Academy or to our licensors, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights under UK and international law.
This includes, but is not limited to:
02

What you are buying

When you purchase a course, you are not buying the content. You are buying a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use that content for your own professional development.
That licence is granted to you alone, for as long as you hold a valid account and keep to these terms. It cannot be sold, gifted, shared, sub-licensed or transferred to anyone else, including a colleague, employee or family member.
03

What you may do

Within that licence, you are welcome to:
04

What you may not do

Without our written permission, you must not:

One account, one person

Course access is personal. If two practitioners in the same clinic both want the training, both need their own enrolment — and both then get their own assessment, certificate and CPD record in their own name.

Account sharing is the most common breach we see, and it is straightforward for us to detect. Where we find it, access is withdrawn without refund and any certificate issued may be revoked.
05

Using our name and brand

You may state honestly that you have completed one of our courses, and you may display the certificate we issued to you.
You may not use our name, logo or branding in a way that suggests you are endorsed by us, affiliated with us, accredited by us, or authorised to deliver our training. You may not present yourself as a Cole Aesthetics Academy trainer, partner or representative unless we have agreed that in writing.
You may not use our name or branding in advertising for your own training courses, or in any way that implies we have approved your practice.
06

Content you send us

If you send us feedback, suggestions, questions or testimonials, you allow us to use that material to improve and promote our courses.
Where we use a testimonial publicly, we will attribute it in the form you gave it — for example a first name and clinic — and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Your assessment answers remain yours. We use them only to mark your work, issue your certificate and maintain our completion records, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
07

Third-party material

Some course material may include content licensed from others, such as clinical images, anatomical illustrations, research extracts or product information. That content belongs to its original owner and is used under licence or as permitted by law.
The permissions in this policy do not extend to that third-party material, and you may not extract or reuse it separately.
08

Why this matters

This is not about being precious. Course material that circulates freely stops being viable to produce and maintain, and a certificate that anyone can obtain without doing the work is worth nothing to the practitioners who did.
Protecting the material protects the value of your own certificate.
09

If this policy is breached

Where we believe our material has been copied, shared or misused, we may take any or all of the following steps:
Copyright infringement is a civil matter and can, in some circumstances, be a criminal offence. We would far rather never need this section.
10

Reporting misuse

If you come across our course material being shared, resold or used without permission, please tell us at [email protected]. A link or screenshot is enough, and we will handle it discreetly.
If you believe content on our website infringes your own copyright, contact us with details of the material and your rights in it, and we will investigate promptly and remove anything we should not be using.
11

Asking permission

If you want to use our material in a way this policy does not allow — training your clinic team, referencing a diagram in a presentation, or anything else — just ask. Email [email protected] and tell us what you have in mind. Permission is often given, and it costs nothing to check first.
