Course Eligibility Policy
Our courses are built for practitioners who already work in aesthetics. This policy explains who each course is intended for, what it does and does not qualify you to do, and where responsibility sits if you enrol without prior training.

The short version
Cole Aesthetics Academy provides online continuing professional development. Our courses are designed to extend the knowledge of people who are already trained and already practising in medical aesthetics.
They are not entry-level courses. They will not teach an untrained person to inject, treat or practise, and they are not a route into the industry.
Before you buy, check this applies to you
You should already hold relevant aesthetics training, qualifications or professional experience. You are responsible for deciding whether a course sits within your existing scope of practice.
If you are new to aesthetics and enrol anyway, you may still find the material valuable as background knowledge — but you must not treat it as a qualification to practise, and any consequence of doing so rests entirely with you.

Who our courses are for
Our courses are intended for people who fall into one or more of the following groups:
- Qualified aesthetic practitioners already delivering treatments in practice.
- Registered healthcare professionals — including nurses, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, midwives and paramedics — working in or moving into aesthetics.
- Practitioners who hold recognised aesthetics training and want to deepen their theoretical knowledge in a specific area.
- Practitioners building their CPD record for insurance, revalidation or professional development purposes.
- Clinic owners and practitioners seeking business, commercial or practice-development learning.

Minimum requirements to enrol
By purchasing any course, you confirm that all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have read the course description and understand what is and is not included.
- You have prior training, qualification or practical experience in aesthetics, or you accept that you are enrolling for background knowledge only.
- You understand that our courses are delivered entirely online and are theory-based.
- You accept that you remain responsible for working within your own scope of practice.
We deliver our courses online and do not routinely verify qualifications before granting access. That means eligibility is something you confirm honestly at the point of purchase, and we rely on you to do so.

What our courses are
Each course is delivered online through our learning platform and is made up of structured theoretical learning — which may include video lessons, written modules, reference material and downloadable resources.
Every course includes a written question-and-answer assessment. Once your answers have been reviewed and accepted, we issue a digital certificate of completion and you receive Open CPD credits.
The purpose is to build understanding: anatomy, indications, product knowledge, risk, complication awareness, protocols, patient assessment and commercial practice, depending on the course.

What our courses are not
This is the most important part of this policy. Our courses do not include and do not provide:
- Hands-on, practical or supervised clinical training.
- Live model work, injecting practice or observed technique assessment.
- A licence, registration or legal authority to perform any treatment.
- A regulated qualification, or an Ofqual-regulated Level qualification.
- Any guarantee that an insurer, employer, regulator, pharmacy or supplier will accept the certificate.
- Prescribing rights, or any authority to obtain or administer prescription-only medicines.
Completing an online theory course does not, by itself, make anyone competent to treat a patient. Competence comes from qualification, supervised practice and experience.

Insurers set their own criteria, and those criteria change. Whether an insurer will cover you for a particular treatment depends on your qualifications, your clinical background, your practical training and your experience — not on a certificate from an online theory course.
We make no representation, promise or guarantee that completing any of our courses will make you insurable, extend your existing cover, or satisfy any insurer’s requirements. We are not insurance advisers and cannot advise on your cover.
Check with your insurance provider before you purchase. If you enrol without prior aesthetics training and later find that an insurer will not cover you, that risk is entirely your own, and no refund will be due.

If you are new to aesthetics
You are welcome to learn from our material. Many people find it useful for understanding the field before committing to formal training.
But you must be clear about the limits. If you have no prior aesthetics training and you purchase a course:
- You are doing so at your own risk, and for background knowledge only.
- You must not perform any treatment on the basis of what you have learned.
- You must not present the certificate as evidence that you are qualified or competent to treat.
- Any decision you make about insurance, practice or treatment is entirely your own responsibility.
- No refund is available on the basis that a course was too advanced, or did not lead to insurance.
If you want to enter the industry properly, the right route is an accredited, hands-on training provider offering supervised practical assessment. Our courses are designed to sit alongside that — not to replace it.

Your own scope of practice
If you are a registered healthcare professional, you remain bound by the standards of your regulator — for example the NMC, GMC, GDC or GPhC. Nothing in our courses overrides those standards, and you must not work outside the scope your regulator permits.
You are also responsible for complying with the law where you practise, including any local licensing scheme, and with any requirements set by your employer, insurer or supplier.
Where our material conflicts with current national guidance, manufacturer instructions or the rules of your regulator, follow those — not us.

Checking a course is right for you
Before purchasing, please:
- Read the full course description, including what is covered and what is not.
- Confirm the subject sits within your current scope of practice.
- Confirm with your insurer that the learning is relevant to your cover, if that matters to you.
- Contact us at [email protected] if anything is unclear.
We would much rather answer a question before you buy than have you enrol on something that is not right for you. Once course access has been granted, no refund is available — including where a course turns out to be unsuitable for your level of experience.

Honesty and misuse
Confirming eligibility you do not have, or using a certificate to imply qualifications or competence you do not hold, is a serious matter.
Where we become aware of it, we may withdraw access, revoke any certificate issued, withdraw the associated CPD record, and refuse future enrolment. No refund will be due, and we may notify a relevant regulator or insurer where we consider patient safety is at risk.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our course range develops or as industry regulation changes — including as UK licensing of non-surgical cosmetic procedures develops. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
The version published at the time of your purchase is the version that applies to that purchase.
